Data Mapper Tour
Access water quality, hydrology, rainfall and other weather data for stations located
throughout the area. Our dynamic mapping interface makes accessing information
in graph and grid views as easy as clicking or dragging your mouse.
Map Navigation
You can use your mouse to drag the map or click the directional arrows to pan left,
right, up and down to see areas that are hidden offscreen. You can also use the
slider to zoom in and zoom out. The map also consists of a map view, a satellite
view or a combination of real images and map elements.
Station Markers
Stations fall into three catagories: active, inactive and decommissioned.
Active Station: Currently receiving data
Inactive Station: Currently not receiving data due to technical difficulties
Decommissioned Station: Historical data only - Station no longer captures real-time data
Accessing Station information is quick and easy
By placing the cursor over a station's marker on the map, the current status will display along with the station name, ID, data source, data monitored and date and time of the last update. This is a quick and easy way to view brief summaries of the real-time stations.
Get to the Data
Clicking on the station marker will open a large window of information with graphs
and grid views. There is also a "Print this page" option so that you can make a
hard copy of the data.
Filter Down Station List
Click the
Filter down station list option to limit the number of stations displayed. From the drop down menu, you can filter by station status, data source, waterbody and/or data monitored.
Graph It
Click on the 24-hour, 7-day and 31-day tabs to access data in an easy to read
graph.
Stations at a glance
View the current status of all the stations in a table format by clicking on
View all stations in a table under the Map Displaying 72 Stations section of this site. This view allows the user to reorganize how the data is shown in the table through clicking and dragging.
