Deadline July 2nd for "Leave No Trace" workshop registration

The Tampa Bay Estuary Program is partnering with the Leave No Trace program to provide a workshop on Outdoor Ethics on Thursday, July 12, from 9 a.m. to noon at Fort De Soto Park. The workshop is designed for educators, college students, Scouts and Scout leaders, outdoor professionals, trail crews, hiking club members and others interested in Leave No Trace skills and ethics.

The workshop, focused on camping in areas with no services or facilities, covers the seven principles of Leave No Trace, including trip planning and preparation; waste disposal; fire safety; and interactions with wildlife.

The cost for the workshop is only $4. Payment is required at the time of registration using PayPal and the deadline for registration is July 2nd.
