EPC to hold informal workshops on proposed permitting rule changes

The EPC staff will hold two informal workshops to answer questions and take public comment on proposed amendments to the following rules:

Chapter 1-1 General Rules
Chapter 1-2 Administrative Procedures
Chapter 1-3 Stationary Air Pollution
Chapter 1-5 Water Quality
Chapter 1-7 Waste Management Rule
Chapter 1-8 Mobile Source
Chapter 1-10 Noise
Chapter 1-12 Storage Tank Rule

The proposed amendments serve to remove or modify obsolete, confusing, unnecessary or contrary provisions contained within the existing rules and will not add to or expand any environmental regulations. EPC staff will make the same presentation at both workshops.

The informal workshops will be held on:
Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Wednesday August 1, 2012 from 3 to 5 p.m.

A final public hearing to consider and take action on the rules will be held by the EPC Commission on August 9, 2012 at their regularly scheduled board meeting shortly after 9 a.m. at County Center, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, FL 33602.
