Tampa adds five new weather stations for first responders, public

Five new weather stations are in now place across the City of Tampa, providing live weather data on current temperatures, hourly forecasts, wind speeds, rainfall, and lightning strikes, allowing faster and more efficient monitoring of the skies in real-time. This will help better monitor and track rapidly changing weather conditions and provide critical data in emergency situations to first responders and the public.

You’ll find the new weather-monitoring stations spread out across the city:

  • Central Tampa – Tampa Fire Rescue Station 1 (808 E Zack St, Tampa, FL 33602)
  • South Tampa – Tampa Fire Rescue Station 15 (4919 S Himes Ave, Tampa, FL 33611)
  • New Tampa – Tampa Fire Rescue Station 22 (10871 Cross Creek Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647)
  • West Tampa – Raymond James Stadium
  • North Tampa – University of South Florida

Each WeatherSTEM weather station also provides access to live streaming video from each location to allow first responders to monitor the skies in real-time.

City residents can also set up an account by visiting or downloading the mobile app to their Android or iOS device via the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
